Andreea Mitran capturing raw and pure feelings.
"I believe that film photography in general is all about feelings." Tell us about yourself. Hello there, awesome film community! My name is Andreea Cristiana Mitran, I am 21, a keen photographer from Romania and currently living in Bucharest. I mostly split my day into two big parts: being a student in the final year, and being a photographer & bookworm, always on the hunt for pretty places, people and stories. Homeless. By Iulian Ignat
"It's amazing how thin the line between most of them and us can be." Tell us about yourself. I'm 43 years old, I was born and still live in Bucharest and have been working for the past 18 years as an editor for a weekly magazine. When and how did the film journey begin for you? From the beginning I shot on film and never felt the urge to give up on film and switch to digital. When I shoot using digital cameras I feel like I don't belong, that the results don't represent myself. My fat
Skinny snow by Crista Oiegas
Snow and skin combined. Winter and summer, two seasons many of us wish to combine. Just imagine what it would be like if you could go to the beach, swimming, sun bathing for a week and the next one you'd be "on top of the world" at over 3000 m altitude, free riding your way down. Since this is only a dream for now, I did a shooting with one of my dear friends, Oana. We took advantage of a rainy day, a roll of Ilford Delta ISO 400, a sexy swim suite, ski boots and let' s not forget my love
Damaris by Marian Chinciusan
"She's young, pretty, and dynamic" Meet Damaris. She's a student preparing to become a nurse. We had a short photoshoot in a forest almost at sunset. I used an Olympus OM-1 with Zuiko 50mm 1.8 lens and Agfa Vista 200 iso film, pushed to 400. I developed the film at home using Tetenal Color Kit and scanned it using an Epson V370 scanner. Here are the results. You can find more of my work here: Instagram Flickr 500px
Marian Adochitei: Colors. People. Geometry.
"I like catching things that surround me, without interfering, keeping everything natural." Tell us about yourself. My name is Marian Adochitei, I am 34 years old, born in Piatra Neamt, Romania and I'm an actor. When and how did the film journey begin for you? Around 2011 I got my hands on a Zenit purely out of the blue and then I couldn't get my hands off of it til I finished the roll that was inside. I fell for analog that very moment. What Could we always find in your gear bag?
The Darkroom
It could very well be that the most iconic part of analog photography is the darkroom. The darkroom is the direct consequence of early photography; this is to say that large parts of the technology of darkrooms can be traced to the 1830s. Nonetheless, we have of course come a long way. The discovery of the photochemical effect started the love story of photography. The thought of capturing light and time, and transferring it to paper, is one that has fascinated us ever since we found out it w
Return to Analog in the Digital Age
Written By Calvin Bailey. Film is on its way back. What exactly it is about film that makes me excited every time I load a new roll into my 35mm is hard to say, but I am not adverse to educated guesses. For me, and for many others, as I am inclined to believe, film exists on two different stages, which in some funny way complement each other. At one stage, film exists as a clear memory of trips to the chemist, index charts, family holidays, and as something gone by. Nostalgic as this interpre
Marian Chinciusan: Shoot with whatever gets in your hands

I think it started about 2 years ago, when I shot my first rolls of film using an old Yashica 35mm SLR. I liked it, but I felt I needed to do more than just shoot and take the film t
